Now I'm Paying Attention

No more Mavs or Stars playoffs action for now, and our beloved Bulls haven't had a prayer since the whole program was sold for parts...but I like the NBA post season this year. Lakers and Spurs, the past decade's most dominant WC teams--classic match-up. Detroit, yeah, sure. Every story needs a villain.

But Boston? Man, I hate that town's other teams, but I kinda wanna get behind these guys, especially if it means more Gino.

Spoon, this moment brings you one step closer to realizing that Boston is a city whose sports teams deserve your support. They have been fighting evil for a hundred years.

Sure you claim to be a Yankees fan, but I believe deep down inside your soul, you know that Boston has more heart than the evil empire, and all of its affiliations. Its like having the force. There is a light side, and a dark side. Don't play this chance off as coincidence.
take this opportunity to relieve yourself of the horrible yoke of rooting for that team from the Bronx. Throw off those chains.

The powers that be are tearing down your beloved Yankee stadium this year. And why? Because the entire franchise has replaced its God-given heart with a dollar sign {$). Today is the day for your salvation. Don't let this moment slip by.

E - If you ask me, it makes more sense for you to root for them now that you're living in their hometown. Yeah, the Lakers are the Midwestern team that grew up and made it in the big city. For that reason and because I'll always be a fan of the Zen Master, ultimately, I gotta go Lakers.

Jason - Naw, dog. I hate the Pats more than the Cowboys, and there will never, ever be another baseball team with as rich a tradition as the Yankees have. If the Celtics weren't named after my forefathers, I'd probably despise them too. I like 'em this year, but the Bulls, Mavs, and whatever team Phil Jackson coaches will be the only teams that ever truly matter to me.
